Fire is an essential part of our lives.  Since the dawn of time, we have revered its power, even as we reaped its benefits.  It has been a sacred, as well as a necessary part of human existence since ancient times.  Domestic hearth fires were rarely extinguished, because a lack of fire could mean death.

Human society evolved around communal fires.  The hearth became a gathering place for learning and healing.  All cooking, eating, planning, and storytelling took place around it at the end of each day.  By the light of the flames, healers and teachers did their work.

Today, we are rediscovering the amazing power of the fire, as we learn how to use it in the manner of our ancestors.  One of the ways in which we have reconnected to the healing power of the flames is through the ancient art of Ear Candling.

We are a small family business that makes and sells Ear Candles of the highest quality.  We take great pride in our work.  Any of those Ear Candles that are not absolutely perfect are thrown away.  We use only 100% cotton cloth for our strips.  Each strip is hand-cut by Brenda.

We use local Beeswax, into which Charlie hand-dips the Ear Candles one at a time.  We put a lot of love into our Ear Candles because we want people to benefit from our product.

We started out in 1993.  Charlie (he’s the McCoy) took an Ear Candling class.  He came home and Ear Candled Brenda (she’s the Brennan).

Brenda always had a lot of sinus problems, and problems with allergies.  She was so thrilled with the process that she asked Charlie to teach their daughter Hope and their son Keith how to Ear Candle.

Since well-made Ear Candles were hard to find at a reasonable price, they began experimenting with their own designs.  After a lot of trial and error, and some input from an older relative, they came up with a workable design.  Their first customer was a wonderful lady who was willing to exchange local beeswax for Ear Candles.

Word soon spread, and many of the local stores and area practitioners began to buy Ear Candles from Brennan & McCoy.  Hope and Keith now do Ear Candling, and they teach people how to do it too, out of the office of Brennan & McCoy (which also provides other alternative healing services).

Brenda and Charlie's grandchildren: Catrina, who is 10; Ryan, 8; and Aurora, the baby also benefit from Ear Candling.  We hope that you love our Ear Candles as much as we do.  Please e-mail us if you have any questions or concerns.
